Atlanta, Georgia
March 2008 - July 2009
I
suppose I would say that I was lucky when an opportunity
to work at Cartoon Network (CN) came up, and I actually
turned down a contract at a higher rate to work for CN.
We're all kids at heart, right?
Within
CN, I was placed in Trade Creative Services, their in-house
production department, responsible for a variety of tasks,
including print and collateral materials, banners, posters,
billboards, as well as web materials such as animated banners,
gaming advertisements, and microsites. I can confidently
say that I got to work on a little bit of everything in
my tenure there.
In
June of 2009, due to the tightening of wallets, it was announced
that Turner Broadcasting as a whole, was cutting nearly
all contractors, myself being included in such, unfortunately.
Duties:
-
Print - created and produced a variety
of materials, ranging from magazine ads, posters, signage,
as well as billboards that were prominently displayed
within the city of Atlanta.
-
Web - designed microsites, and generated
animated banners that were distributed internally as
well as externally. Entrusted with the integration of
online banner advertisements in alternative online media,
such as iTunes, XBOX Live, and the Playstation Network.
-
Created the various materials that constructed of trade
show booths, convention displays, and other public events.
-
Responsible for a variety of internal pieces, such as
guide books and packets, email templates, and visual
aides to be used in e-announcements.
-
Trained interns throughout the seasons.
Accomplishments:
-
Responible for CN's official branding guidelines.
-
Created final logo concept for The Secret Saturdays.
-
Contributed heavily in the creation and production of
trade show materials and booth design for FusionFall
online gaming booths, and CN's presence during the 2009
NBA All-Star weekend in Phoenix, Arizona.
-
Responsible for materials in the launch of The Marvelous
Misadventures of Flapjack, including DVD artwork,
t-shirts, and online banners.

Thanksgiving Parade in New York City, shown on the electronic
