I
was brought back to Harland Clarke to freelance in the summer
of 2010 in assistance of a major project for Costco. The
company was attempting to launch an all-inclusive printing
solution service, which would provide costly and easy-to-create
stationary and business cards. Duties included the concepting,
creation, and production of over 200 designs that could
easily transition between business card, letterhead, as
well as envelope templates.
In
the winter of 2007, I was hired by Harland Clarke as a contractor
to assist in the overflow of workload that was the result
of the coming of the new year, and the new year's catalog.
Harland Clarke is a company that most anyone with a bank
account has used their products, but never realized it.
They're the ones who provide the actual physical checks,
and make the variety of designs available to the consumer.
They also design and manufacture a wide variety of commercial
financial products that go widely unnoticed, but are no
less important to business functionality.
Duties:
-
The concepting, design and execution, as well as production
of over 200 printer and user-friendly designs for mass
production and user simplicity.
-
Responsible for the production of four major catalogs;
three business-specific catalogs, as well as the annual
Harland Clarke catalog which is over 125 pages, geared
towards B2B.
-
Tasked
with the editing of the checks themselves as necessary
for the modification based on the coming new year, with
addendums and omissions necessary
