September 2009 - Present
I
was brought to Project Center as a contractor to help assist
in an overflow of workload, but ended up staying for quite
a while longer after I proved my capabilities to adapt and
proficiency in which I worked. Project Center is an RR Donnelly
creative studio, that handles some pretty major clientele.
The
print studio was where I was designated, and I was given
control over a few accounts, and I was capable of getting
my feet wet and contributing heavily to other major accounts.
To this day, I remain as one of their frequent on-call contractors
when things get overwhelming and they need the plug-in help.
Duties:
-
Designated the Avaya account, and produced a variety
of advertisements that were prominently displayed and
viewed by millions in publications all around the world.
A few notable publications were the Washington Post,
New York Times, Wall Street Journal, and USA Today.
These ads were translated and also published in various
other countries, including China, India, and Mexico.
-
Undertook the task of converting The Home Depot files
from an obsolete Quark format to InDesign; and this
was well after Quark files could no longer be drag-and-drop
quick-converted into InDesign.
-
Created signs and PoP materials for Chic Fil-A restaurants
as well as their subsidary ventures, such as Dwarf Houses
and Truett's Grill.
-
Contributed to the production of various other Project
Center clients, whenever necessary. Heavy print-production
work to all other accounts when not working on primary
accounts.
-
Demonstrated excellent mock-up skills and visual aides
when explanation wasn't enough.
-
Proved pre-press versatility, at being capable of providing
whatever any printer or publication requested, from
mechanical specification, to precise and concise Distiller
options prior to final PDF generation.
