| SunTrust
Banks, Inc.
Atlanta, Georgia
March 2005 - November 2007
I started out at SunTrust as a freelance contractor, but
during a corporate restructure at the start of 2006, I was
granted an official position with the company. SunTrust
is fifth largest banking company in the United States, with
offices and branches located all across the Southeastern
and Mid-Atlantic regions.
I started out as primarily
as a print-production role, when I was a contractor, doing
text edits, and ensuring that files were going out to printers
and branches in the correct format, and enforcing file sizes
and brand guidelines. When I came on full-time, my role
evolved to doing actual design work, and having a role in
the creation and execution of projects that would be produced
and distributed throughout the company network. During my
tenure with SunTrust, I created numerous print projects,
ranging from brochures, flyers, cards, invitations, posters,
billboards, PoP merchandising and other collateral materials.
Targeting audiences internally, B2B as well as B2C. I worked
with a variety of clientele, from management, production
people to the printers themselves.
In September of 2007, it was
announced that SunTrust would undergo corporate downsizing
in the wake of the economic "crisis." Unfortunately
for me, that meant the entire in-house design department
was to be dismissed.
Duties:
-
Design and execution of a variety of print-related materials
- brochures, collateral materials, posters, signage,
billboards, marketing aides.
-
Entrusted with responsibility of maintaining the SunTrust

-
Created and maintained working relationship with stock

Masterfile to provide fresh and unique visual imagery
to be used in all SunTrust marketing materials.
-
In the event of visiting branches, policing the branches
to adhering to up-to-date materials, and collateral
materials, and reporting such back to corporate of any
violations.
-
Demonstrated expertise at the printing process, provided
excellent pre-press skills with concise PDF generation
to exact publication requirements, mechanicals to printers,
and efficient methods of delivering files via FTP.
