The Home Depot 2010 Spring Readiness Guide
Project Center

The Spring Readiness Guide is an internal catalogue for Home Depot stores to prepare with the seasonal equipment and items that are being targeted as the top sellers of the season. It is a 400+ page document that details over 700+ items that are to be featured throughout the 2,200+ stores across the United States.

The unique thing about the 2010 Spring Readiness guide is that I was brought aboard the internal Home Depot team to expedite the transition of all base files from QuarkXPress to Adobe InDesign. Quark was gradually being phased out for speed and financial reasons within the company, and it was best decided to ensure that the Home Depot guides moving forward were to be in InDesign instead.

I rebuilt all the templates as well as all the corresponding style sheets as well as character settings for the entire catalogue in Adobe InDesign, and a team of four additional designers as well as two project managers ensured that all the content adhered to The Home Depot's stringent brand guidelines and rules.
