Introduction to InDesign Tutorial
Georgia Public Broadcasting

I was hired by Georgia Public Broadcasting to give their Japanese foreign language department a crash course in Adobe InDesign.

GPB was tasked with revamping some of their older Japanese text and work books, despite the fact that many of the base materials were outdated, the originial software that was initially used to construct the earlier editions were no longer around.

The proved to be a good opportunity for the GPB staff to overhaul and update some of the more dated materials, but in order to do such, they needed to be brought up to speed with what they should probably be using instead.

I created this Adobe InDesign tutorial packet for GPB employees to learn the basic functions of using InDesign; setting up documents, placing text, placing graphics, among some of the more core, basic skills necessary to really get started with InDesign.

I presented this tutorial in a two-hour long crash course on the software as well, so they could see first-hand at how the software worked.

The end result allowed the GPB Japanese language team to update their texts and worksheets with very little additional guidance afterward.
